The three virtuosis of Alev Trio play many oriental instruments and Turkish traditional music. The songs and compositions are from Zeybek (central Anatolia), mountain songs of shepherds, Azeri dances of Caucasia and also Alevi semah (trance music). Each of the Alev Trio artists do a very close work on oriental musical traditions creating a modern style by combining many instruments that usually don’t go together. Those forgotten songs are almost unknown in Occident and ALEV try to keeps the ancestral customs while innovating in a very modern form..
